1. About the service

Transcribe Audio ("we", "us") is the online audio transcription service at transcribeaudio.co. You upload audio or video files and we return a written transcript, with speaker labels and timestamps where they can be detected.

By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16, or the age of digital consent where you live if higher, to create an account. Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. Contact us if you believe your account has been used without permission.

3. Credits, pricing and billing

One credit transcribes one minute of audio. Each file is rounded up to the next full minute.
When you start a transcription we reserve credits based on the file length your browser reports. When it finishes we charge the real length: if the file is shorter, the difference is returned to your balance; if it is longer, the extra minutes are deducted.
If a transcription fails, all credits reserved for it are returned automatically.
Credit packs are one-time purchases with no automatic renewal. Purchased credits do not expire. Free trial credits may expire as shown in Settings → Credits.
Credits cannot be transferred, resold or exchanged for cash. Monetary refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.
The payment provider and seller for each purchase are shown at checkout and on your receipt.

4. Your files and transcripts

You keep all rights to the files you upload and the transcripts we produce for you.
You must have the right to upload each file, including any consent needed from the people recorded. Recording or transcribing people without their consent may be illegal where you or they live.
You allow us and the processors listed in the Privacy Policy to store and process your files only to provide the transcript.
We delete the original audio after transcription, and in any case it is removed automatically within 48 hours of upload. A free preview can only be unlocked while the original is still stored, so within 24 hours of upload.

5. Acceptable use

Follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may refuse requests, limit access or suspend accounts to address misuse. Credits obtained through fraud or abuse may be revoked. Contact support to request a review of an account decision.

6. Accuracy

Automatic transcription is not perfect. Accuracy depends on recording quality, background noise, overlapping speech, accents and vocabulary. Check transcripts before relying on them for legal, medical, financial or other important decisions. The Service is provided "as is" without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability.
