Every file: up to 10 hours, 90+ languages, speaker labels and timestamps. After that, one-time packs: 3 hours for $6.99, 15 hours for $19.99 or 50 hours for $49.99, and minutes never expire. The original audio is deleted after transcription (within 48 hours at most), and we never use your files to train AI models.

iPhone voice memos (M4A)

The iPhone Voice Memos app saves recordings as M4A files, which you can upload directly. The quickest way to transcribe a voice memo is from the same phone: save the memo to Files, then pick it from this page. On a Mac, Voice Memos syncs through iCloud: drag a memo from the app to your desktop, then into the upload box.

Recent versions of iOS can show a transcript inside the Voice Memos app on some devices and languages. Use this page when you need speaker labels, timestamps, a Word or subtitle file, or when your phone or language does not offer it.

Android recordings and WhatsApp voice messages

Android recorder apps usually save M4A, AAC, AMR or MP3 files, all of which work. WhatsApp voice messages are OPUS or OGG files: in the chat, long-press the message and share it to your files (on iPhone, tap Forward and then the share button), then upload it here.

  • M4A and AAC: iPhone Voice Memos and most Android recorder apps
  • MP3 and WAV: dedicated voice recorders and some Android apps
  • OPUS and OGG: WhatsApp and Telegram voice messages
  • AMR: older phones and some call recorders

Record straight into the transcriber

Have nothing recorded yet? Tap Record in the upload box, allow the microphone, speak, and tap Stop. The recording is added like any other file. It is a quick way to dictate notes or ideas and get them as text without installing an app.

Tips for memos that transcribe well

Hold the phone close and keep it still; rustling against a pocket or table is louder than you think. For a memo with only your voice, turn speaker recognition off in the settings so the text is not split into speakers. If a memo mixes two languages, pick the main one.
